I would say, its most likley illegal too, but just as a thought, how often are your reverse lights actually on?, usually just a minute or too backing out of a parking space or something right?

reverse may not get him in trouble as much as the license plate lights will. At night they are always on.

You should be fine with the reverse lights... I wouldn't worry too much about those... but if your license plate light is a really bright blue and a cop is having a bad day then I would be worried. Blue in the front of your car or anything is flashing would be even worse.

i might just see if i can get them returned for white. i mean they look sick but its not worth it to me. I dont want a cop to be behind me when i back up. that would be my luck.. haha especially since i parallel park alot....

I had blue LED's in my reverse lights and plate socket for awhile. It looked fine, but you couldn't see a damn thing while backing up. lol. I'm back to normal bulbs now. A nice white bulb in the plate socket looks good though..

I can say I've never drove after drinking even a single drink. There's no excuse. It's not the getting pulled over and getting in trouble that you should be worried about, it's the harming other people that is the trouble.

You should be able to tell if you aren't capable of driving. Simple as that. I'm not condoning drinking and driving by any means. But you have to be smart and be honest to yourself. I can say that I definitely give my keys up if I drink more than a few. Hopefully everyone else does too.

agreed..
you shouldn't be doing this to begin with... even if it is "only 1"
so the answer to your question.. YES
also if you still feel the need to "have a few" and drive you should buy a pedal bike now since you have the money that way when you get out of work release/jail then you have transportation..

wow from a "should I keep these bulbs" thread to a freaking MADD meeting.
To all those who say after one beer you shouldn't drive, all I have to say is don't ever come to the south lol. Theres a BAC limit for a reason... for most people one beer won't affect them enough to matter. (And if it would be enough to matter, their BAC would be past legal limit anyway)
*This statement excludes high school girls who demand to say "I'm so wasted!" every 5 minutes when they are on their first beer. It only excludes them because I hate them and they shouldn't have a drivers license anyway

You won't even feel it but you may well blow over.
I know guys who can pound em back all night and you would never know they had been drinking - and they have blown over the limit after 2 beers.
Say to license for 6 months, say hello to your new outrageous insurance premiums for the next 5 years.
"Tipsy" has nothing to do with it......
But to the OP's question - anything but red or amber at the rear will get you "noticed" in a not good way.

Back on topic, don't put blue lights on your car that are active while you are driving. If you are going to use your car for show fine have all the blue lights you want but keep it at the shows. Blue reverse lights could really screw you up if you are backing up at night and you run over somebody or some car runs into you cause they did not know you are backing up. License plate lights that are blue are also against the law! Just don't do it. Oh and learn english and grammar please!
