Bought A New Flame Suit

Figured I had better get one before posting this.and flaming is kool doubt I would have done this sobber.

I sat here bored yesterday and after dinner did a lil drinking and for some reason decided I did not like my hood so I started looking at after market hoods .hmm figured well hell if I am going to buy a new one why not redo mine and save money so this is what I came up with. Now keep in mind I made this in my home garage all I had to use was 1- 18"x22" piece of 16 gauge sheet metal a 3 lb hammer 1 pc 1 "steel pipe a pair of vice grips my rite hand snips and my little wire feed lincoln and some bond left over from doing a repair on a friends car.

will finish body work today and and since the hood and other parts of the car are being painted black prime the hood this weekend, thank god I work part time restoring historic cars or this could have been a mess .

PIC UPDATES FINISHED AND PRIMED

yes made it functional

rained on the way home and it surprised me no water under hood other the a few drops

updated pics at last post

Looks like it's coming along nicely. Good job so far man.

Can't wait to see pics of the finished product.

You can return the flame suit for a full refund because you are doing it right.
You didn't just 3M tape a scoop on.

Paint and post pics. So far, it looks like you've done some good work. You should paint a stripe from the front of the hood up to the vent. That would look tight.
