Bowtie on the front grill.

I saw some pictues with people removing the front bowtie and replacing it with a ss symbol and I was curious how the bowtie is removed. I though it was stuck on with 3m but it looks like you have to take the whole grill off.

thanx

If you take out all the rubber stops attached to the grill you can pull the grill towards the front of the car enough to get a ratchet back there. Its not really a bolt but some kind of cap. Its how I took mine off that way I didnt take out the whole grill.

the cap is shaped like the head of a bolt though, 7 or 10 mm if i remember right.

That's hot. I like the SS grill badge idea... but I'm not sure how I feel about the hangover from the bowtie that's still visible.

Could always do this with a small piece of vinyl to cover the holes ( I wasn't able to be satisfied w/ seeing even the slightest edge from a hole) and still say chevy.

Maybe I should just paint mine then.
This weekend I removed the bowtie on the front, (exposing 3 holes), went for vinyl at autozone, they said try walmart, walmart gave me vinyl for something else, that was padded..lol
I guess I need to go to a graphics place to get just a 1'x1' black square piece?
Or maybe i'll paint the bowtie, matching the color of my arrival blue, would walmart have the paint?
Thanks.

Sign shops carry vinyl real cheap. Usually 10' x 3' roll is like 10 bucks. I like that yellow ss with the bowtie black behind it.

The holes:

Removing the bowtie does not make your car as dirty as mine.
Too much rain for me to wash the past weekend.
