Bowtie Overlays

Does anyone know where or if you can get vinyl overlays that cover only the gold part of the bowtie, and don't look cheap. I'm trying to black out my emblems, and windows. Also if anyone has any other ideas, let me know.

either take off the bow tie or just tape it off and paint it.

I used the non primer matte black paint

I already searched Ebay, and I found nothing for the cobalt, they had them for the HHR, but I'm guessing its a different emblem, and they looked like ****, the didn't go all the way to the outside. does anyone have pics of them painted, and how hard are they to take off the car?

Pop the hood and look behind the grille. There are two small nuts holding it on for the front one.

Debadge the back.

did you have to lightly sand to get the paint to stick good, or does the paint stay on pretty good with just a few light coats?

I just did three coats. I never sanded but some people do. I chose not to and turned out fine.

I do three to four coats. Just as long as it doesnt run

any suggestions on type of paint? Did you use a vinyl and plastic paint, or just cheap indoor/outdoor?

Alright, thanks. I'm going to attempt it this weekend. I take it the back bowtie comes off the same way? Any other ideas on blacking my car out?
