If they were actually drilled it can weaken the rotor. Honestly slotted or just plain old rotors will be fine.

I honestly will just run a quality plain rotor with a great pad. Not as flashy but performs well.
But the slotted rotors are popular.

But like I said people like R1

Drilled may look good, but really only needed when extreme braking is applied such as fast exotic cars. On a cobalt, plain jane rotors w/ good pads works best, even on a SS. I had them on my gto for track days, really wasent that great. Altho i did have slotted, repelled gasses better. But ya, on our balts, plane rotors will hold up best, unless u want looks, then go on ahead

I have the R1 Eline Cross Slotted and Drilled and they outperform my buddies 09 SS/TC with Brembo Brake kit. I have experienced "Soft Brakes" because I ran a long autocross street route with him and the brakes started to get really hot. I lasted about twice as long with the brakes I purchased than he did with his.

For DD, I'd recommend a solid plain jane rotor + ceramics. If you are an aggressive "I have to absolutely push the envelope" type of driver then braking power / effeciency is what you want and thus R1 is the most inexpensive quality made option available.
