c/f hood question.. please help..
Hey guys,
So, awhile back, I had the RKSport c/f scoop hood on my car.. Got it in a straight trade for my factory hood since the clear was fading.. Then, after awhile, I did the same and swapped it for a black hood.. Well, I saw the kid posted the hood to craigslist today and i'm mildly contemplating getting it again.. I mean, free c/f hood.. But, I've got a few concerns..
1) If I want to get it re-cleared, how do I go about getting this done and what'll it cost?
2) If I want to just paint it black, how do I get this done? I want it to look OEM black and match perfect. And, ballpark price..
I know all c/f hoods are different, but alot of guys on here have experience with the RKSport ones.. I wouldn't bother doing anything on the bottom, just the top layer. Black to match the car. OEM style with layers, clear, whatever. I like the style of the hood, but I'm not big into the c/f look on black cars.. Looks off..
Thanks for any help.. Thanks!
This one, but it's c/f now:

Go to a body shop and have them paint it black. That's what I did. I don't know exactly what it cost cause I had other work done but everything came to $1,000 so I'm guessing the hood was $600ish
