Caliper paint color help needed?

I like my stock silver calipers paint, but I kinda want to change the color. But I am having difficulty deciding on a color that would good with my orange SS. Thanks to anyone that helps me out.

Yea man, I had the same problem. I thought about either a dull black, or possibly blue? I think that red and yellow would seriously clash WAY too much.

It was suggested to me that maybe we could use some VHT Caliper primer, and then paint over it with some GM color matched paint, like order a pint or so of it from ur local dealer. But I don't know if thats would work out so well. I mean, yea, the primer would probably help it a lot, but I still think that touch-up paint would fade.

Yeah, this is the only downfall to this color I have found so far. I told myself that I wouldnt do black because I wanted them to stand out from the wheel, so I guess the silver is staying.

Glad to see I am not the only one having this delima. I talked to my neighbor (owns a body shop) and he just said good luck. He thought getting a hi temp paint in this color would be near impossible. So I am staying stock I guess.

Bro you can call dupli-color, give them your paint code and have them mix you up some caliper paint. It will match your color nicely.

Here is a link to the color match portion of the website.

Dupli-Color does not make a color match to Sunburst Orange Metallic in caliper paint. I've looked on their website, and also went and had the local custom shop find out, and they cannot get it. VHT makes orange caliper paint, but it is much brighter than our car. I am thinking about possibly getting some and trying it out anyway, just to see. I guess I could always paint back over it.

Did anyone order the orange caliper paint from Duplicolor yet or is this just a pipe dream?
