Calipers..>What color

I have a 2.2 and I am getting ready to paint the calipers...However I dont know what color I should paint them.

My car is Rally Yellow. I was thinking of doing the calipers yellow also but not sure if I should.

Also on the back breaks they are drum breaks...What do you think it would look like if I painted those as well..
Give me some ideas on color...

Yeah we definatly need to get another Hooters meet set up for next weekend maybe or something like that...I like the idea of red or blue.....Probably go blue because it is the complement of Yellow...

On a yellow car. Go black. Painting them black will look better than stock.

yeah but remember I have a 2.2 and still the stock tires...I am saving up to get new tires so Black would blend to much with the rims...

with the yellow, i would go with a black caliper, or a polished one. sonemone on this site has his polished and it looks really good. also since the drums are kinda rusty, i would probably paint them black as to just hide them until you can get the conversion kit.

I think I have decided to go Blue on this...Next question is what brand and kit to get....The drums are not rusted yet since this is still very new so I dont know if I will paint the drums also or not...

I just did all 4 of my calipers up in black. It looks real good. The OEM silver is gay. For the rear drum... DON'T DO A COLOR. Do black. The rear drum will eventually get rusty and look terrible. If you cover it now, it should stay nicer longer.

Would it be a problem if I did the back drum in a color and then later down the road if it got rusty then painted over it or will the rust still show through??

Naw. With any color, it won't rust. Or at least not alot. But in factory trim it almost definately will. You could do the drum in any color you want. But I think anything but black or MAYBE silver would just look rediculous. That's just my opinion though...

I got the Duplicolor one. It's like 15 bnucks maybe? I'm pretty sure I did all 4 with it easily. I did the same thing to my Honda when I had it too. i'm gonna re-touch-up the Cobalt soon, and I'm gonna do the Monte too. That kit gives you everything but sandpaper. But since your car is still pretty new, there shouldn't be much, if any, rust.

If it rusted through the paint once, it will just do it again.

You will have to repaint them every 6 months to keep them looking good.
