it scratches, go to a touch free or DIY so you know the sponges/cloths you're using are not going to scratch your paint

It all depends on the car wash. Sometimes they wont but other times they do. If people do like the signs say and do not use them on their tires the likely hood of getting scratches from them are lower. However when people use them on the tires/rims they get filled with brake dust and that what really causes the scratches. I usually stay away from them just cause you dont know how much dirt is actually trapped in the brissles. However if there is a really hard to clean area on my car i will use the brush but only after i use the powerwasher to clean it first. When it comes down to it to be on the safe side do what gsoccer said and just use your own cloths that way you know its not going to damage your vehicle.

Chances are yes, it will scratch your paint. I wouldn't chance it.

Well Idk, instead of brushes at the one I go to there are these cloth things. They seem to work very well and don't scratch either.

MY Car only gets hand washed!

It is the safest way to do it & the only scratch you get is because of some thing stupid you did yourself. & Final Product looks 5 times better & last longer.

If you want to do it right the first time, then hand wash.

Just wash it yourself. Nothing will clean your car better than a good hand wash.
