WOW, don't like to search at all?

hood and trunk you can get from any vendor on here pretty much. Extreme demisions has good trunks, and AITRACING.COM has good hoods. Roof, door skins? if you find those let me know

ya but I think the OP is looking for something someone sells, the Time attack is a one off obviously. I have an owner of a CF shop that's going to prototype some things for my car and we'll see if people want to buy. He did a full CF replacement (not an overlay) on his new M6...doing it on my car is within his skill level, but I don't think people would buy them. We are working on door panels inserts, side mirror covers, and possible interior trim.

See i want a full replacement so I can get rid of the sunroof that in turne would make the body stiffer.

just an overlay over the sun roof wouldn't provide very little support if any at all, the proper way would to cut off the roof and replace it completely. It's easier patch the sunroof with metal and then overlay the roof with a custom made CF piece. Or just get a roll cage and you don't need to worry about the body not being stiff. I really don't think sun roof makes a huge difference, maybe for safety.

Off Topic but Ford Sunroofs.... I'm convinced all cars should be made of them. Go look up pics of crashed Lincoln LS's where they've rolled. Tell me if you find one with a mangled roof and the sunroof broken. Honestly these things are rediculous. My hubby rolled my bros Ford F250... truck was totalled... sunroof still fully intact Now someone tell me those damn things are stiff and safe!!!

Um.....good luck with that. I don't even think the purpose built time attack car was that lightweight.

Buy Lotus Exige? Or an Ariel Atom?

no offense to any of the cobalt owners but doing a full panel replacement is a waste of money on these cars(meaning door shells, roof, fenders, hood trunk etc). i even think its a total waste on the evos and sti but i see it being more likely on those cars then a cobalt.

I think hoods and trunks are fine. Any other body part would be a waste. Besides lips of course

It's all show I guess. I could understand

the only way to get to that weight would be to take EVERYTHING out of your car that does not make the car run. then spend thousands more to change all of the metal to carbon fiber and glass to whatever that other stuff is. and then you MIGHT be where you want. Good luck with it but its going to cost an arm and a leg and the only purpose of your car would be to race because im thinking it wont at all be street legal, maybe.

Now if you really want to do this. sweet man, im sure it will be a fun car but im not sure that you realize what all goes into putting your car on a diet.
