Carbon fiber headlights

Due to some recent fogging issues resulting in some waterspots on my lenses
I'm forced to open them up,
Just picked up some new headlights for the rebuild and am thinking bout wrapping the headlight shrouds in some of my green reflections carbon fiber

Opinions?

"You can't do that" or "Its impossible to do that"

Are phrases Chris Dalacker does not recognize.

Haha! Props to most awesome custom works seen here on the forums IMO

That would help. I know of a lil trick that could help smooth out the corners but Idk if I would use it on headlights. Not sure if it would get in the way of bulbs or not

I'm just curious... has anyone ever hydro-dipped the shrouds with a carbon fiber pattern? I wonder if it would hold up to the heat.

Also, I never read up on your headlight build... did you reuse the sealant or did you use the good stuff like oci-butyl rubber?

Ya I remember Maven doing the housing, I was talking about the actual shroud that goes around the projector.

I think Maven ended up selling the ones he got dipped... do you know how they held up by any chance?

I can hydrodip things, but i think a real weave would look much better (if you can physically pull it off given the contours of the headlight). Hell doing a hydrodip of the cobalt headlight is difficult enough as is and the imperfections would bother me (like the ones I can see on the set above)
