Carbon Fiber Hood Suggestions.. HELP
Carbon Fiber Hood Suggestions.. HELP
I am looking to put a carbon fiber hood on my cobalt. I would like to know suggestions for hood styles and places to buy them.
Included is a picture of the car as is. Tell me what hood you think would look good.
Thanks for the help.

I think OEM style looks best. I hate hood scoops and vents on our cars. It just doesn't flow well with the smooth lines of the car. That one in the above post isn't too bad though. If you want vents get that one.
Here's a little more on the Suncoast hood. It's on my "To Do" list.

if i can make enough money this by next week im ordering oem hood and trunk from a site not a vendor so dont wanna post link due to it being against rules for 980 both shipped to my door no custom fees.
You can order the Suncoast hood in CF from Grounded conceptz. groundedconceptz. com
Cost is $780 CDN. his shipping rates are not insane either. I would suggest emailing them about shipping. They are located in Oshawa Ontario.
Very good quality. Underside is also made Gloss black.

I agree, but CF aside I like the RK Sport hood, it's subtle but looks REALLY good.
Rain does get in with any vented hood. I just replaced one of my cam sensors because one of the vents is right on top of the valve cover where the sensors are, and water got into the plug and corroded everything to hell. I had to replace the pins in the plug and replace the sensor. I ended up fabricating some drainage paths to stop the water from landing on the valve cover and on the fuse box on the other side. It's just dumb luck if something goes wrong, but nothing is immune from screwing up.
