Carbon fiber induction hood from C.A.

I was thinking about getting this hood but had some questions... Has anybody found a strut that will work for this hood? Does the hood fit pretty good and is the any pros or cons about this hood. I have a 06 2.4l SS and would like to see some pics also. Please help thanks...

post pics of the hood man, not alot of us ar going to go to CA just to see what you mean, it better to post pics of what your talking about...and as far the strut bar, i havent seen a hood that keep you from using one, unless its defective

went to CA i see allt he normal hoods they make for the balt, none of them are labelled induction hood, while alot have a functional scoop, they all have their own name, and all the hood form CA work with the cobalt and a strut bar

tip for next time, post a pic the product you are talking about

I couldn't get the pic to copy but here is the name ad part #...
SS style Carbon Fiber Hood
Item # CA_SSCFH

The ad also says we can use hood latch and hinges but I was thinking that due to let weight of the hood the strut would be to strong allowing the hood to press up in the coner! I dont really know just was a thought...

a lot of people who get carbon fiber hoods just disconnect their strut because it does push up
i haven't heard of a different one that wont do the same thing though

How about a prop pin? Also I read somewhere that for precautions you should install hood pins. I know im asking alot but I really dont want to add those pins if I have to...

Well not to get off subject I ordred the V2 header and downpipe from them. When I installed it I had to suck my GM performance exhust forward 2 " to make it fit. By doing this it made the down pipe collector to sit at an angle creating a bad exhaust leak that through a code. I ended up having to go to a shop and had them cut the collector out and weld in a 2" piece of pipe to get ride of the leak and put my cat back, back in the proper position. and now I have a bad leak at the header to the engine. I dont like to knock people just would like it to get fixed...

I like the rk sport and the ss style.

SS style Carbon Fiber Hood
Item # CA_SSCFH

and

RK SPORT Vented Carbon Fiber Hood
Item # CA-RKVCF

umm fenders, headers, downpipes, shitty welds, crappy paint work on their "color matched" pillar pods, etc...

well the fender deal wasn't really their fault... headers, only on cars they say they won't fit (2.2) if there was a faulty one they always take it back and send a new one... my color matched pod is fine for the almost 2 years I've had it on my car... I don't see your point.

i think its obvious everyone has different experiences so no need to get pissy at each other, thats the same for any company cars or otherwise....some people have bad experiences some people have good experiences lets just share them all and let another buyer decide if he wants to use that company or not on his own.. i already ordered my parts from them and they havent come yet but im hoping like hell i dont get a bunch of bad stuff so we'll see im keeping my fingers crossed.

BTW that RK Sport hood is pure secks,.....i think i have changed my mind from the CF OEM hood now
