Carbon Fiber Look

Does anyone know of anyone painting in the style of or creating an effect of the look
of carbon fiber in some other medium or form i.e. applique' or other. I had an Idea of having my chin spoiler, rocker panels and lower rear valance on my SS/SC done. If you ever heard of this let me know or if you where I can find these parts in carbon fiber I would go that way too, I just have not seen it myself.

i talked to him about it lately for mine and he said he could do it but he is too busy at this point in time to actually take on a big project like the lip kit. I also talked to several carbon fiber companies and they refused to wrap the kit because they were concerned with durability issues. However I have seen stuff painted to look like carbon fiber. A member on here had his grille and dash painted i think and it looked as close at to real as you could get with paint but it was expensive.

EDIT:

Did some searching and found the member. Name is slacker. Here are some pics

Yea all of that is painted to my knowledge. Looks pretty damn good IMO for paint. If your interested I would try and contact slacker and ask who did it. I asked him a long time ago and no longer have the message that contained the information

That looks like hydrographics. There's a place around here that'll do just about anything that can get wet and size is within reason. The process involves painting a basecoat, applying the hydrographics film, then clearcoating. It's the same thing that you see on camo shotguns etc. The local shop can do anything from guns to 4 wheeler bodies. I had them do my painball marker in silver carbon fiber. Only cost $50, not that expensive. A friend also had his dash dipped for $100. If you're interested in getting some things done, search the yellow pages for hydrographics.

You can do it yourself. It not very hard. There is a how to vid floating around here somewhere of how to paint something and make it look like CF. Good luck, if you find the vid send it over to me haha.
