I recently got in contact with Crawford Composites (a company that makes parts for Daytona racing prototypes and also the Grand-Am cobalts) Here is what they had to say:

"The cobalt pcs we currently offer are
1. Front valance and splitter
2. hood
3. roof (track only)
4. deck lid
5. wing
The parts are owned by General Motors, if you want something I will have to recieve permission from them and they will set the price."

My question is, does anyone have any interest? I am sure the price won't be the cheapest around but the quality will be better than anyone else.

what is the deck lid? and how can i get a roof? i mean, wht cant i have it for the street?

 

The deck lid is the trunk and about the roof I am sure there is some sort of issue with removing the stock roof and replacing it with a c/f one since it is a major safety piece in the car (the race cars would make up for this with a roll cage). I e-mailed the guy to see about prices, but i don't want to be a pain since mass-production really isn't there thing.

 

how about some carbon fiber door pillars?

Id like the front lip, and deck lid....where do you get those CF pillars? my stock black tape crap is scratched and starting to peel...O and what about a CF rear valence? or is that way to rice?

any news on the trunk lid? i have about 400 dollars of dagame on my trunk and a cracked spoiler so if they are coming out id rather buy one of them since it would prolly be cheaper and just as cool.

Not bad but where they get you is with the shipping charges. REDONKS. Its gonna cost me $148.70 just to ship a CF trunk lid for my car. I dont even know if its worht it anymore for a total of $598.69 . I mean come on. it only costs like 120 for a hood and thats heavier and bigger.

what are your guys opions on the shipping? Wayyy to much or is that about right? I was gonna go w/ the CF trunk cuz it would be cheaper but not anymore at all.
