Carbon fibre trunk installed (PICS!!!)

installed my trunk today, wasnt too bad, did it alone took about an hour and 20 min, the worst was lining up the gaps, but i think i did pretty good,

took it throught a high impact touchless car wash to make sure it dint leak and it passed lol

theres only one thing i dont like youll see it in the pics it seams to mount higher then the back and im afraid to tighen anymore becuase its already tigh as ***** but i dont want to crack the fibreglass on the inside

here the pics of the higher mounting

Jusy after install

Compared to a low rise

like a 3rd of the weight,

to put it in prespective
on my stock trunk, with my low rise spoiler when you push the trunk pop button, the truck would just sit there

when you hit the buttom now the trunk opens, and it opens fast

The trunk is fiberglass covered with carbon. Show me the underside of the deck lid and I bet ya its not carbon.

Is there anyway to adjust the trunk latch? I can't see where the lid meets the bumper, but from the looks of it that is where the problem is. If its not and there is no way to fix it I would send it back, I wouldn't let that kinda stuff fly.

theres about a 3mm gap between the bumber it was -6 degrees last night and i took my car through a car wash before work and the it froze shut becuase the water got between, and as for adjusting the latch its not possible thers two regular bolt holes, that the latch JUST fits

EDIT, i just thought about using some washers as spacers to bring the latch into the trunk more, if you know what i mean i think ill pick some up and try that

its not hard if you can spray paint you can tint,
just about any car place sells it, for anyone in Nova Scotia
Glubes and Auto World, both in burnside sell it for 20$ a can

You might be able to drop the striker on that the latch goes on. If there is no adjustment in the latch or striker you could try to get some out of the striker by hitting it with a big hammer to knock it down or get a reamer and oblong the holes a little bit and that bitch will fit like a glove.

I was thinking between the 2(striker & latch) that there would be some wiggle room. I hope you can get it figured out.
