Carbonfiber Door Inserts

well i figured i'd finally get started on making my cf door inserts....sorry for the crappy pics up i just used enough resin to get it to hold shape now i'm gonna really apply the resin....should be to bad though...but its a work in progess

yea i get my supplys at a great price too..i do this stuff cause i work nights and when i get off the wife and kids asleep so it gives me something to do

yea i understand that , i only work about 2-5 hour's a day , and i get payed for a full day , so i used to install car audio and video on the side for all my friend's , fun easy money , plus i like watching it all come together !!

just for reference man you need to make sure you flatten it out better ...looks like you have some pooled up resin spots under the cf ...you can see it because of the darker spots etc. you really should start small before you go big. hopefully the rest turns out good....with more depth in the resin it will hid certain things like that.

oh dude i didn't realize you fg'ed over the stock part first....that's why you have the low and high spots...y didn't you just cf over directly the stock insert....you could have put some release agent and pva so it wasn't permanently bonded. hopefully i can get my hands on an extra set of them just gotta find a car with wrecked door panels besides the inserts...junkyards usually sell the whole panel.
