CCFL Halo problem(Need Feedback Fast)

I had ccfl halos on my girlfriends cobalt for 6 months then took them out to put in painted stockers with silverstars. Well the housing was leaking from us rushing so I swapped them back out for the ccfls to redo them. Within 2 days all of the interior lights went out, but the screen for the radio and the dic work fine. Took it to the stealership and 2 weeks later we find out that according to them the aftermarket headlights burnt up the fuse block but I can tell you first had the headlights still work. Now their trying to stick me with a $426 bill and saying that they already waived the fees for the week it sat at the dealership even though it sat for that long because of there electronics specialist being out. Have any of you had this problem? Im having a fucked up day.

I had this problem with some Gen 2 halos...it would blow a fuse every time I used them...I just put in a few fuse and it would do the same...didn't harm the fuse block...just the fuse...

I eventually just gave up and put the stockers back in...no issues since...I think the lights had a short in them or something...

sounds like it to me. did you check to see if just the fuse for the interior lights was out? if everything else still works, the entire fuse block couldn't be out.

Agreed...head to your local auto parts store, pick up a set of fuses and find the bad one...probably a $0.10 fix...
