CF hungry.... Need come input

ok ive got a person doing some custom CF work on my car... about 1/3 or my interior is cf right now..... my hoood is cf, and my trunk is comming some time soon, its cf.... i have some parts shipped out to this guy from under the hood and he started them today, nothing is going to be given away yet.... also some more interior pieces are going to be CF..... its all going to be overlay but willl be like a hood, only the bottem wont be CF, so you really cant tell.... he can make new pieces fully from cf though....

heres my proposal....

-ive alredy paid to have 2 new p[ieces under the hood laid in Cf
-chances are in a few weeks, 2 new pieces form inside will be cf

Now all 4 of these pieces arent yet avalable for the car in cf, i havent seen them except maybe on bob mulls car.....

Post up some ideas of parts you guys want to see in CF/.. he already told me he cannot do the tops of the dash due to heat and sun in summer....

I would much appreciate it if i could get some donations if possible to get some of these pieces made so that we can get them for you guys too,,,, please dont lock this post because i said that.... im not asking for money, just mentioning it because obveously CF isnt cheap when your getting parts made in it for the first time..... I may also be workign out some kind of pricing deals and maybe mass producing some stuff....

Now this isnt another one of those post that dont come through like some of the "new hoods" and stuff ive already got money into this, it is happening, its just up to you guys too help

like i said throw out some ideas of what you would like to see done in cf.... please no hoods..... and if you are feeling generous to help in the production cost, pm me

i look foward to your input

-Sam

I am up for some more CF Parts! Id like to see some under the hood and interior cf pieces. I still would like to see the SS S/C lip kit wrapped in CF, mirrors, door inserts, trim, and the pillars.

I already have a CF hood and trunk, and i have the CF SS wing insert on order also. So I would like to see some more variety of parts in CF to give the car an extra touch.

I agree with the mirror covers. Someone needs to mould up CF snap-on mirror covers to replace the body color parts. I NEED these to match the CF hood scoop!

mirrors are deffinatly one of the top prioritys on my list but i think im goign to get the whole miorror done,,, just the skull cap would look kinda off.... plus if i have them do the whole mirror they could probably lay over the skull cap so theres no more lines;;; whats the point in that cap BTW, is there anything usefull under it?

Are these pieces 100% carbon fiber or are they the stock pieces wrapped in it?

By "Cap" if you mean my scoop, yes, it's fully functional. Click on the how-to link in my signature below about making the GMPP Intake functional to see details.

If you check the web site from the post in this thread, they are genuine carbon fiber stuck over the stock pieces. Looks to me to be really well done, too! I plan to do this from this source (I had found another source, but have changed my mind after these pics).

Not cheap, but it's the Real Thing and the details/edging is NICE!

no no the skull cap is on the mirror..... not your hoodscoop... go look at your mirrors, there is a piece outlined that you can get to color match your car, then go re read what i typed, itll make more sence

Oh, DUH!!! Sorry, sometimes I'm just old and slow

I believe GM made it removable so they could do the color match thing (or plain black) easier with an interchangable piece. Just my opinion, but I think it's a design element for styling and nothing more. But it makes it handy for customizing.
