CF Trunk Lid Fitment???

Ok I recently purchased a CF trunk lid from a member on the boards. I installed it about a week ago and it looks great. The only problem is Im having trouble getting it to fit perfectly. The passenger side only sits up a couple of centimeters so thats not a problem, but the drivers side sits about half an inch. I mean its not horrible or anything and you cant notice from behind, but when you look from the side it really bothers me. So my question is for anybody who does body work and/or any people who have had the Xcellerated Concepts CF trunk lid, can you guys give me any hints on what I should do to try to make it fit better. I really dont want to go to body shop to have them help me, but if I cant figure this out Im probably going to have to. Thanks in advance for any help

we use adjustable stops when we install them at the shop can be bought at body and trim shops .cf hoods and fiber glass do this more then metal ones if it low in one spot its high somwhere else get 4 of them and that shoud do both sides

Yea but I dont know what to adjust to get it to sit lower. I have tried adjusting it and I can get and fits flush other then it being raised up that lil bit. If I push the trunk down it fits perfect but as soon as I let off it goes back to where it was???

try flexing it a bit and washers on one side to help adjust it

would that help make it sit lower? I thought putting washers in would make it sit higher?

well he said it didn't fit perfect but I'm not sure how bad it was, I mean I figured it wouldn't fit perfect, most CF pieces aren't perfect but I didn't think it would be this bad.

if this was me, i would just think about it...

how can i get that side lower...

see the two bolts that go into the car that hold the hinge to the car, you could lower those about a half inch, drill, get nuts, weld if you can...etc.

The two bolts that holds the complete bracket to the car has some adjustment to it as to going up and down. Thats what i had to adjust on mine to get it to fit. Also the actual latch on the car i had to adjust side to side up and down. I don't think there wasn't anything that i didn't adjust lol. Its a pain i spent hours trying to get it aligned. Hope this helps you a bit.

Ok I was actually thinking about that, so the 2 bolts that hold the bracket to the car can be adjusted? That would probably solve my problem. So Im assuming I just lossen them and move it up or down, correct?
