cheap mods for crappy base trims

I've got an 08 special edition cobalt and it soooo needs something... anything in the way of mods. I don't have money and I have parents that paid the down payment so nothing over the top performance wise or not parent friendly... what have other people done to base model trims that adds to the car without making it ricer-ish.

take moldings off the sides, debadge/rebadge, paint (interior/calipers/drums/headlights), airbox mod, . Spending a few dollars you can do some lighting, LEDs and such. I have a tight bankroll so these are things I've done (except debadging) I'm going to paint the ccalipers and drums when I get to it lol and I'm too chicken to take the headlights apart to paint them. The Airbox mod will lower the exhaust note at WOT and is free.

Huh didn't know that, however it makes a lot of sense. Gloss and protection. On the topic of nightshades If I go for a quick spray on my headlights can I get then just a little dark not blacked out? Basically a light tint

Your car actually looks really good dude. Im normally not a fan when people paint there radio bezels and stuff but yours is unique and professional looking. Nice work!

The moldings are optional and they were expensive. And my car is black and I don't know if I like the white stripes on black cars yet... I want to slap some vinal or paint on the badges and probably get rid of the back bow tie but even though I hear how easy debadging is it's still different when its my car... don't want to screw up
