you dont... it has tabs that bend around to the back of the cover. you would have to pry and snip each tab.... its put there like that for a reason. so it doesnt fly off and impale itself in your skull in case of an accident

got an 06 or 07? If the TUrbo cobalt doesn't have an SS badge on the steering wheel like the HHR SS then I'll be wanting to take it off also! let me know how things shake out for ya. I know on teh 05/06 you should be able to just peel it off...

^^^it wont "just peel off" I was in an accident and the airbag deployed. the center of the steering wheel split where the bag came through and even with all of that the emblem was still securely in place. they dont come off for a reason

hes right you would have to remove the section where you activate your horn, only problem is the airbag is there too.... behind it it is folded in with metal tabs. not an easy task and not something you really want to mess with.

best idea would be a sticker or something over it

there's gotta be a way to get it off, 24designs is selling a replacement emblem with the transformers logo on it (sick idea IMO)

There are pics in another thread here somewhere where they took it off, they ended up gouging the **** outta the area around it trying to pry it off and it looked pretty bad after even with the new emblem

Get a small screwdriver, pry it off. Take like 5 seconds. Then you get this.

I don't remember. Get a ruler, or tape measure, and go measure it just to make sure. It varied by year. I use to have the measurements on my computer, but I don't anymore

As long as you get the right size, you'll be good.

Just a heads up. There's raised plastic supports for the stoct metal cap, sand those down so you get a flat setting, or it will look like ass. You'll understand once you get it off

i was gonna try to put it on there without pulling it off, just put tape behind it. and they all say 55mm.

if those measurements are right, 2 7/16 = 62 mm
hmm lol

I ment I pulled the original off. So the new decal would sit in the demple flush, and not stuck out, and look like crap if I just stuck it on
