No one makes them yet. Search clear taillights and you'll get more info.

yes, someone made them. No one makes them to the collective knowledge of this forum. I should have included that in my response.

I actually don't think they will ever be making those taillights. You have to have a red reflector on the back of your car, hence our red taillights. I don't see how those could reflect red if they were all clear.

I know DOT says they have to have red reflectors in them, but there is another car out there that has stock taillights similar to those. I think the outter side has a silver/white paint on them, but when the breaks are hit they come out red.

Good... the big wing makes it look ricey enough. We don't need clear taillights.

That car also has Red reflectors on the bottom bumper, seperate from the taillamp. The only way the 272 Cobalt Clear taillights could be legal is if they had red reflectors in them.

Sorry but a vaccum forming machine will not make tail lights. You need a machiane that is 100 times more expensive. An injection mold machine and the dies neede to make the taile lights. I used to work for a company that did injection moldeing. That stuff is not cheap.

later

Why can't you make the clear taillights, but put small red relectors into the inner reverse lights? Sure they wouldn't be COMPLETELY clear, but something like this http://groups.msn.com/CobaltSSSC/sho...hoto&PhotoID=1 I know it's rough, but you get the idea.

or just put a small reflector on the back.. how bout leaving the third brake light cover red. Or just puting red bulbs in them so they are still red when you break or at night when the lights are on.

i would think that as long as the bulbs where red, and the inside of the light was just silver and reflective, that they would be ok.... i dont know though

exactly^^^^ legally they have to be. I think clear or black on my car would look better than red neways

But ultimately blue would be awesome.
