Cobalt/2007 VW Passat Retrofitted Tail Lights

Before I explain anything I would like to give a big thank you to Gamebay11 and SilverSS/SC for helping me out. What I have done is taken tail lights from a 2007 VW Passat and cut them down to roughly the same shape and size of the cobalt lights. Then I took a set of cobalt tails and cooked them in the oven so that I could get the red lens off them to glue onto the Passat lights. So here is what the finished project looks like.

with everyone and all this talent on modifying taillights in different styles...hopefully, someone can create a replicant to the tailights that were on the gm tuner tour cobalt's (all clear tails) instead of red...i pay premium if someone designs those.....

I have a little over $160 into these lights plus labor and a lot of help from friends.

Actually they look better in person then in these pics. Maybe I should find someone with a SLR camera.

Actually all that you need is to figure out a way to make a cover for the tail lights out of plexiglass. Gamebay actually has some pics of these lights in the car before the covers were glued on. At least I think he has those, I will ask him.
