Color Matched Gen3's With CCFL Halos Teaser
Alright guys i can't wait any longer to show these off haha. Heres a teaser pic of my Arrival Blue (professionally painted not rattle canned) Gen3's. I picked up CCFL halos from 3bspec which are bright as hell lol. The amber reflectors are tinted also. This project should have been done 2 weeks ago but i recieved one of the halos not working so i had to wait another 2 weeks to get a new one. I ditched the crappy lenses and installed my stock ones. I just sealed them up so they are held togeather with straps to make sure the lens seals properly so no complete pics yet but will have up tomorrow. Now a question i'm sure i already know the feedback i'm going to get. Run the leds at the bottom or not?

clean, i say run the leds with the turn signals. maybe(idea just popped in my head) see if its possible to make them sequential? idk it sounded sick in my head

lol glad you agree. idk how it would look though but im sure it would be interesting to see id just make sure to have the leds match color wise to whatever turn signal color you go with. and have the turn signal be led also so it flows better

Well there are only 3 wires that go to the turn signal bulb. I'll just tap into the power for the turn signal and there we go. The turn signals will be orange ofcourse. I'll have to look into orange leds. I don't know about led turn signals. My buddy runs them and they don't light the lens up nearly as good as an incandescent bulb.

i have them and they light up pretty good. just make sure you get 360 degree ones with plenty of leds. 24 led's and up are good. i have 18 but they work good. just didnt have the money for better ones. and they look better imo flash wise than incondesent bulbs do and ive asked freinds if they can see mine and they have said that mine are more noticeable than reg bulbs. im sure it helps since mine are red haha.

yea, there is a relay(i think thats what it is) that you can get that will time each light to come on after a certain time after the one before it

Looks sick man, can't wait for on the car pics. Look even better in person!
Holy **** those are bright!
I was thinking the same thing about the turn signal LEDs it would be a shame to waste them, they would look great as turn signals. Doing them sequentially would be kinda a bitch. You would either Need relays or very specific sized capacitors and resistors. I think that route would be tough though.
Looks great!
