Completely changed my bowtie logo in the steering wheel ....pics

Definately tested my patience , when it came to masking it off so it looked perfect
I wanted to match to the stock SS logo style and tie in better with the B&M shifter logo design . With the glare its hard to see the detail ...The bowtie is bordered in chrome like stock , but I used white reflector tape to die cut the bowtie . Flat back background with a floating polished ring .

Hint , if you sand off all the paint on your stock steering wheel logo , it all aluminum underneath and polishable . I never took the logo outa the car , just masked it off so I didnt get anything on the steering wheel ect. The way the logo attaches , if you take it out ....you never get it back correctly .

I wanted to try to use the new SS logo's that are the Impala's ect , but out logo is 2 1/8 " , and the new style one is 2 3/8" .

Thanks guys

p7x - Like I said in , that logo is bigger than the hole in our steering wheel by 1/4 " . That it one I tried to use too . Out logo 2 1/8 , all the new logo's in the trailblazer , malibu , impala , monte carlo are 2 3/8" . Sucks

Thats why I tried to mimmick the look of that logo with the one we have . And they way they attach it is by tabs of the aluminum that go thru slots , then fold over behind the airbag cover , so the logo doesnt detach when the airbag is popped . You would never get one go back on right without being able to fold the tabs back over , as it would not sit flush .

Theres 1 hole on each side of the airbag cover , theres a tool you press in there and it releases the tabs . Problem is once ya get the airbag cover out . Every airbag Ive seen the actual cover has been bonded on , I doubt you'd beable to actually remove the grey cover from the airbag housing .

but , I could be wrong man . Ive never had the Cobalt airbag out , just several other makes .
