Covering the hvac?

When I swapped over to LEDs I ended up screwing up some of the places where the light shines through. So I've been thinking about covering the hvac controls with the same CF vinyl that I did my trim with that way if I dont like it, I can always peel it off. Just looking for opinions.

It's not the LEDs. It's the plastic cover over the hvac controls. That is bubbled and the little tinted lense part that illuminates is messed up. Has nothing to do with the LEDs.

Buy a used a/c control head from a junkyard/salvage yard or off of e-bay. You can pop off the cover and swap it over. I have an extra one in silver that I will sell you for $20 + shipping. PM if interested. It is in silver (I wanted to switch to black)
