Custom Center console

Alright guys, after looking over the interior of the corvette in the show room, I have this crazy idea.... to make a custom center console so its similiar to what the corvettes center console looks like.

Just a crazy idea. Would probly take a lot of work, and relocating the e-brake and stuff....

What do u guys think? Is it crazy?

Anyone have the photoshop skills to put a corvette center console in a cobalt?

it would be much easier to just buy a corvette. awesome idea, just might be a little impossible to actually do.

lol.. buy a vette... Pay half of the monthly payment and insurance and I will think about it.. lol. The only real modification I can think of would be relocating the e-brake.. in which it would be placed to the left of the shifter with a nice little handle. Anyone have any suggestions?

instead of relocating the ebrake handle, you should mold the dash around it, kinda like this (sorry i didnt put the console into the cobalt, this was just a quick one to show you my idea for the ebrake)

I think the e-brake would be too low, u would have to have a huge gap to reach down in and grab it. Maybe make a cover for it, so it is hidden... hmmm..

If you are going to change the console, moving the e-brake is the least of your problems. Removing the old console gives you access to the tunnel to repostion the e-brake. I am having a custom console done to fit the altered tunnel for the driveshaft as well as the new shifter we are using. Any alterations to the floor\tunnel are covered by the new console. Mod away.
