The G3 projector is a bigger projector, with a larger reflector bowl. It's a clean-looking projector. I was impressed by how bright it is with a big hot-spot in the center. The cutoff is sharp in the center with a solid blue in the center. It has a huge ECE cutoff step. It's like a high-beam on the right half of the cutoff. It will be glaring to drivers on the right lane.
G3 retractable shield in low-beam state. It is flat (instead of curve) with an ECE slant step.

The small push solenoid retracts the shield down exposing the high beam.

Side-by-side reference of RX330(left) and G3(right). The G3 is a little bit smaller and has a narrower reflector bowl, directing more light toward the center.

Distant View Showing Entire Cutoff. Very bright in the center. Lot of light reserve for high beam.

Front close-up view. Sharp and bright with a rich amount of blue in the center. Cutoff getd softer on the sides.

Front close-up view (low exposure)

The G3 actually has lot of side lighting on the lower section, but not a whole lot along the cutoff line toward the sides, making it appears to bow downward on the sides and softened. It has a very good foreground lighting.
G3 with Custom Shield
The G3 has a flat shield. I was asked to see if I can make a custom shield for this to see if there's any improvement. I made a quick curve shield based on my s2k custom DOT shield design. I attached it to the existing G3's retractable shield using a small magnet.
G3 with a custom curve shield held by a strong small magnet. Notice how the shield is horizontally straight.

Top/front angle view to show the curvature of the custom shield

Distant view of G3 with custom shield. Not much difference in the width. The reflector bowl doesn't throw light directly below the cutoff shield. Otherwise, the cutoff line will appear wider and more distinctive.

Front close-up view. The cutoff is very sharp but get dimmer and soft on the sides.

Picture captured at a higher aperture (F10) to reduce exposure.

Besides changing from ECE to DOT step, not much has changed. Center intensity is the same. The cutoff line doesn't get wider. The reason is because the reflector bowl doesn't throw light toward the side edges of the shield. Otherwise, it would have been visibly wider. If you want to make the sides cutoff more visible, you can rise the shield up, thus lowering the cutoff line. Then you'll see a distinctive cutoff from side to side. The drawback is you'll lose intensity in the center, as more light is now hidden/reserved for high-beam.
