I've seen those vinyl third brake light covers that say "COLBALT". Anyone know where I could get a custom one that says something else?

I sent a message to the guy on ebay, but didn't get an answer.

 

most of the guys on ebay will make them custom just look on there.

I'm a big fan of the band Tool, so I want one that just says "TOOL". I got a message from one of the guys, he'll do it at no extra charge.

 

Do you really want something that lights up on the back of your car that says "Tool" ? I know its a band and all but just seems odd, it could definetely be mis-interpretted.

 

you could always go to your local vinyil shop or local sign shop decal shop whatever they will take the measurments for you and can cut it out for you too

 

I made the mistake of getting the "chrome" cobalt SS one. I thought I was actually getting a chrome piece with maybe 3m on the back, but its just reflective stuff that isn't cut to the correct size, looks good from a distance, will replace when I find something better.

 

I don't really care. Though, I'll prolly put it on after put a vinyl on the back window.

 

I thought about that, but the one I'm getting on ebay is only $9 shipped.

 

they should make a clear one because those stupid stickers just cover up your exsisting brake light it makes no sense.

 

Look at it again. The letters are cut out, so when the brake light is on they glow. Really, what would be the point of a transparent sticker?

I got the Cobalt SS one from ebay, look nice and fits perfect.

 

i bought one off ebay, and it didnt fit right at all, it was one of the guy's first he made
wouldnt give me a refund, ****** waste of money

 

Yeah, I want a real chrome beveled, and polished over-lay that just says SS in the middle, in the SS font, and cut to fit exactly over.
is that too much to ask?

That pic looks real. It looks like there's supposed to be a ring of light around the outside of the sticker. It seems most ppl think the sticker is supposed to cover the entire light and only llet light through the letters.

 

Oh god. That's what I want too. Let everyone (or at least me ) know if you find one like that.

 

Here is chrome but not with SS in the middle. I love the SS idea.

 

Those are vinyl stickers too. A real chrome piece would be sweet.

 

Yeah, the 2nd one is the one I bought (Still a sticker). It didn't fit correctly, and when I tried to trim it after it was already on, it messed up. from a few ft. looks great, but up close makes me want to take it off.
