Why the hell does anyone tint the windshield? I have sen a few cars on base with it and thats just ******* retarded. Yeah it cuts down on the glare but I bet half of you still wear sunglasses with it. Sorry but I like to be able to see where i'm going. Now the rest of the windows, go as dark as you want, if you hit someone crossing the street then it's their fault for not seeing and hearing a ******* car coming down the street.

 

Been there done that on my last car (5% all around except the windshield). Got pulled over too many times, and had my car broken into because they couldnt see inside and realize I had nothing to steal. Thats why I decided not to tint my cobalt at all. Havent had any problems.

 

Just get 50 on the windshield. I have it on mine with 35 in the front and 15 in the back

all im going to say is watch out for obsticals you cant see, suck as telephone poles, other cars, pedestrians, pretty much everything

 

5% is overkill. I had 20% on sides and 15% on back on my last vehicle it was decent. Still hard to see out of at night. Always had to roll side windows down when turning or reversing.

 

damn... okay... i had a mustang with 5% all around. and yea, it was a pain to see out as well.

but i think you guys are right. if i get pulled over for tints. i will get tickted for something else, ie front lisence plate

 

like several guys said before having a doctors note will not change the fact that cops have RIGHT to harass you non stop. They say they pull you over for tint then you pull this doctor note which they know is crap if you have other mods then they with just pick you/your car apart.

Ive had it happen before and they went through the whole "I detect marajuana" thing, when i had never smoked in my life and the car has never even had cigarettes in it. Was an hour late for work, sat on the curb in the cold while they ripped through my car.... found nothing, total bullshit just cause of tint.

On my old gp I had 5% all around....cop pulled me over got wrote up for "swerving, driving on shoulder, tinted tail light covers, tinted license plate, illegal headlight bulbs, and speeding" then she threatened to call a k9 unit to search the car..I can say I was speeding, but didn't do any of the other things ...she was nice enough to just give me a fix it ticket for the tints .I'm 17, haybroDonttazemebro it's just for looks!

 

believe it or not, police CAN search your vehicle if the CEL light is on.... so messed up, yes it happened.

 

Is it just me, or am i the only one that thought "shady fucki** doctors? Thats a hell of a reason to risk your expensive as fu** education and licsence.... no wonder this country is in the $hitter.

 

Btw... 35% sucks for reverse vision....

Anyways, i would do what you said earlier and do 50% front window, and 15% everything else. In your state, you should be fine with that.

But I still don't realize that there are limits of how dark it can be with that prescription and no matter what and I can only have a 5" strip on the front windshield legally!

 

I'm putting 5% on rear windows and maybe 10% on front windows and rear windshield so at least i can bac up, and have some stealth, i had limos on my trucc all the way around but i had a rear view camera lol.

 

I google searched but never found anything on a "trucc". Can you shed some light on what this could be?

i can legally run 5% but chose to go with 10% and i think its still a little too dark
