I tried to do my shifter like that and thats about as good as I could get it. I couldnt stand the edges. If only we could remove that piece the process would be so much easier

Hey man, no problem. Once I get good at it. I'll probably buy an extra trim set a skin cf on it.

it does look a little rough on the edges but it looks good considering you can't take that damn piece off. i wanted to take it off to clearcoat it but i had no progress so i just stopped before i broke it.

I actually did take it off. I popped it out with a pry tool. You gotta pop it out from
the sides only. Not the top
