dash trim is painted!!! WITH PICS!!!!
so i hoped on the ban wagon and matched my trim to the cars color i would make this a how to but half way through the process i gave up on taking pictures
but this is how i did it
1. sanded with 220 grit then 300 grit
2. primered and cured for 24 hours
3. sanded with 400 grit
4. painted red with several light coats with about 2 mins between coats
5. one hour later applied several light coats of clear coat about 2 mins between coats
6. cured for 48 hours
7. lightly and slowly wet sanded with 800 grit and warm soapy water
8. dried with a towel and hair drier on low
9. generously apply rubbing compound and lightly scrub with a rag for a couple mins
10. remove the rubbing compound from any paint with a clean rag before it can dry
11. waxed with regular car wax and then let it haze for about ten mins
12. then removed wax with a soft clean rag
13. re-install the SS badge with super glue
14. stare at the beautiful paint job you just accomplished!

The steering wheel bezels are PITA to get off, probably why he didn't paint them. He could get a vinyl overlay for the the bowtie, thats what I did.
U pop the air bag out with small flat head or something, t20 torx( somewhere close to that size I think) to undo the 2 screws holding the trim pieces in place
And the buttons just pop out
well since i havent found a radio face and hvac face that are black yet i decided to leave the air bag part silver so the radio and hvac dont look out of place and yes the steering wheel bezels match the radio for now and until they dont i dont want to mess with my air bag lol
Looks good! Ive gone back and forth on doing mine red or doing them black. I have the ss/tc seats but they are the all black ones so not sure how the red would look with an all black interior.

The radio faceplate pops right off, all you have to mask off is the screen (easy, one strip of 1" tape, perfect) spray it flat black, let it dry, pop it back on and none the wiser
