DDM Tuning vs VVME HIDs, is either better?

I have been wanting to get a set of HIDs for a while, and was looking at more expensive and name brand kits. So I figured I might give these chinese cheapo kits a try, and if they screw up I'm out only $60 for trying it not $250 like others I was looking at.

Anyways, I'm going with a high low kit, and have though about the slim ballasts just for the fact they will be easier to hide. Could those of you all who have either kit share you opinions on it, and wether or not you had problems with your kit during install or with parts going on the kits later on?

Also, if anyone has pics of either kit in 6000K could you post them up? I'd like to see how the color looks since many kits I have seen vary in color when it comes to different kits

My VVME kit has been on since I got this thing basically. Never had a problem with them. Cheap and good looking.

I got two sets of VVME HID's, both of them did not like to run without a relay. Otherwise they were ok.
The best HIDs i've ever gotten are from HIDCanada.com ! CanBus ballasts, super slim. And 3 bulbs (in case one burns out or gets wrecked during shipping! BEST EVER! And for only $170 CDN!

Those of you who have bought the DDM kit, did you get the wiring harness or error code eliminator with them? I'm looking at some, and just curious as to what i'd need to get other then the HID kit. I'm looking at the 35w 6000k.

i would go with ddm tuning. i ordered HID head lights and fog lights from them and couldnt be happier. ive had some friends that ordered from vvme and they didnt recieve the color they ordered or got a broken bulb in the mail. i think the ddm tuning kit is of higher quality plus the ballasts are really small.

What's the difference between DDM/VVME and then lights from a place like racer-union (HID kit ones)

Obviously LED strips (which are pretty good, but not as legit as I'd like) and halos, but anything else?

Also which generation would I have if I got mine from racer-union? And then what gen would the ones discussed in this thread be?

the kit comes with a wiring harness and everything you need. no need to buy the error code eliminator.

ddm kit includes everything you will need with them they do not come with code eliminators you wont need them anyways (cobalts aren't high enough class to tell us if we have a light out) 35w you will be fine plug and play. 2 kits that i know of h1 and h7 have the relay in the harness. not sure about the 9007 will have them but i would assume you will be fine

Oh its good to see that DDM is on backorde I was getting kind if worried. I ordred on Saturday and they still havent shipped...awesome. Guess i should have stuck with VVME. Cuz i bought some HIDs for my fogs a while back and the one bulb is bad now.

Kind of upsets me though because I emailed DDM on Thursday asking what was up...then left a voicemail on Friday and still haven't heard anything...

I have the VVME kit in my lows and highs and the DDM kit in my fogs. DDM has a better ballast quality look and feel to them IMO but does not come with a mounting bracket attached to the ballast like the VVME. DDM comes double sided tape that seems to be a good quality though. Both kits are fine though. Only problem with the VVME was one of the ballasts was bad out of the box and had to pay for a new as the return/exchange policies suck ars.
