Debadge Help

So today I removed my bowtie from the trunks, the GM squares from the fenders, and the pinstripe. Washed. Waxed. Still looks like this..how do I get rid of it?

Sorry for the reflections.

Gonna need to take some more serious polish to it.

Also, try cleaning with acetone first, it will remove all the wax but should dissolve any crud left on the paint that was under the badges. Then use a slightly more aggressive polish to clean up any swirls or scratches or unevenness, then wax as normal.

Compound -> polish -> wax.

Go EASY on the compound. I mean just barely rub it onto the paint until the white is gone. Then polish and wax like normal.

That's after goo gone. Literally using my whole weight to really scrub it, used my finger nails. Nothing..it just doesn't budge.

I'll try more goo gone tonight. Then I'll re wax and polish and attempt to get it out.

That's oxidation, not adhesive. I've been detailing for 10 years but what do I know...

If you already used a solvent like Goo Gone, then it's oxidation in the paint/clear like Chris said. You need to remove that top layer with a compound/polishing step then wax it back after. If you aren't familiar with the process, it might be worth finding a local detail guy to buff it out as on a black car you can do a lot of damage to the paint that will really make it look like **** if you don't know what you are doing.

If you're willing to learn and take your time and invest a little in the right tools/chemicals there's a ton of info on the web about removing oxidation from paint, look at what some of the others have done and see what you feel most comfortable with and give it a shot.
