Debadging Efficiently

Okay so i want to remove the Chevy Emblem, and the Cobalt lettering from my car. Most efficient, safe way with a Hairdryer on a hott day, and without removing the clearcoat/paint on my car?

or if you don't have strong enough fishing line, a plastic kitchen spatula will work.

Whatever you do (or especially if you do this) make sure that if you're prying up one end, that the OTHER side isn't digging into your clearcoat.

*grumble stoopid GM square, grah*

Make sure you wash it with Acid

On a serious note, I used no chemicals at all. Plastic Spatula, Clay Bar with soap water until its all gone =) Of course I peeled as much of the adhesive off by hand before I tried to clay bar it =)

Its getting time for me to debadge mine hopefully there aren't clearcoat problems under them. I was getting ready to rip my wing off and noticed a little clearcoat issue around the base of the wing. Roof already looks pretty rough. Plan on reclearing the whole roof soon, and I guess where the wing is too, lol.

2x on the fishing line.

Use a hair dryer and warm it up, then gently pull the fishing line across the back of the emblem. Very slowly move it back and forth as if your flossing your teeth and it will not scratch at all. Patience is key. Then after use a microfiber cloth with goo-gone to remove whats left. dab with the cloth don't rub. Then wash with soap and water. Wax and done.

You don't need strong fishing line. I used 6 lb. If it's not working, you're doing it wrong.
