Debadging question

I have a red 2005 cobalt. I want to debadge the rear but am worried about taking the paint off wiht the logo. Do you think my paint will be darker in the area where the chevy logo was when I take it off? How long of a process is it? Should I take the cobalt letters off to?

If you're worried about it, don't debadge it.

I have a red ss/sc and I debadged the rear bowtie. No faded paint or anything. It looks like nothing was ever there. Use dental floss to take it off. Use Goo-Gone to help get the remaining glue off. Also you will be using your fingers to rub the glue off. After it's all gone just wash and wax the section and you're good to go.

Exactly what I used and no problems. Considering mine is black I think your safe. Take your sweet ass time taking off the bowtie. Thats the only one that could damage your paint. Have patience.

yeha i got a few scratches on the boxtie part, but wax hides it well. everything else is very easy to get off, but you shouldnt have any fade, you can always put it back on

it will slightly scratch when you do it. OEM paint doesn't usually show fading for 2+ years so don't be scared as far as that goes.

I just did my sisters Jetta, I used her hair dryer, an old calling card (insted of fishing wire), and goo-gone..... Looks awsome, no scraches, I didn't even have to wax the area
