to clean it up ... its too big and gold is tacky ....as "proud" as Chevy as I am ..........I think it looks better without
i want to take it off, but am afraid i'll not be able to get all of the glue off. Can someone please reassure me that it will all come off, hopefully with just some goo-gone and no problems?

yeah it will come off ...maybe not all in one shot but from what I have read and experience with other cars you will have no problems ...just dont force the issue if you have some glue still there right after .. If I end up doing mine tonight I'll take some pictures of what it looks liek right after you pull off the badge
Just removed mine heated it up (several times) and turned it clockwise. Used the citrus stuff, washed and then waxed looks awesome! Does anyone know if the front comes off as easy? I see two screws so I'm guessing it does. Also what paint do you guys think I should use I have a laser blue balt thanks!

The front bowtie comes off woth 2 bolts. I went to the local auto body store and had them mix a spray can of laser blue metallic. The guy came out and got my paint and 15 minutes later i had my spray can of it. I just taped off the chrome trim and primed it with self etching primer, painted and cleared and here it is......

much cleaner i think and it matched perfectly
lol yeah, my car went back to the dealer 2 days after i bought it because the brake switch was bad, and my car was already debadged and rebadged. I had debadged the whole back and replaced it with an older style black/red camaro-style SS badge, and then moved the stock SS badge to the front in place of the bowtie, took the GM badges off the fenders (those are ugly), and moved the supercharged badge from the trunk to the passenger-side dash. They just laughed, it didnt stop them from fixing the brake switch.

cool idea, i removed both the front and back emblems taped off the silver and painted the gold black. i have a black cobalt and it looks very nice! especially since it accents my black rims with chrome lip.
Well, i finally took off my back badge off yesterday...in the rain...hmm...yea, i was bored...just hard as heck to get the middle sticky stuff off...i ordered some badges from online (GRLZRUL) in chrome...and am gonna put that back there, and paint it red, see how it turns out
No, no bolts, and yeah, its on there pretty good; you just need some patience. Also, don't do it when its below freezing like I did; it took forever to get the gunk off.
so i took off the chevy bowtie and i have a blodgy lookin spot from where the glue used to be i used the WD40 method
and a hair dryer. but if you look at it after i washed it today you can see the "shadow" what did you guys do for yours?
the only thing that immediately came off was the dealership sticker on my car, this cheap (and I mean cheap) tacky nametag (not even a logo). It made the whole car look cheap, I can't beleive they sell cars with such an ugly sticker.
