I want to get two black 8" stripes down the center of my car, hitting everythng including the spoiler, and some Decals for the sides, heres an example of what im thinking about getting. Please gimme some input, no bashing please.

Not a fan...especially on the spoiler. Decals....

 

I just wanted something different and unique appearance-wise, i want something that will blantantly show that i'm not stock

 

But you're close to it, and sleepers are cooler than rice.

 

do it just don't make the decales as big in the picture maybe smaller

 

yeah, i was going to make them smaller anyway, big enough to see, but not so bug as to take up the whole door, they're gonna be 10" wide each and proportionately tall

 

I just realized, that first car with the black stripes has the SAME discontinued rims as me! What a coincidence

I like stripes. They would have to be just right though. Reminds me of the old SS cars.
I am also thinking of the roll strip on the side like that myself.

Dont listen to anyone here other then for suggestions. If you do anything like a sticker on the side or different rims or anything people will scream "RICE". Its your car do whatcha like.

I know there is a yellow SS around here with black stripes and i think it looks tight. I think there is a cobalt or a saturn with those door stickers too and i think that looks just as smooth. Whatever you decide to do make sure you post up some pics.

I have black painted headlights, thats why i want the stripes, if my lights werent painted i'd get white stripes, but i have to keep the theme going (Black on Red)

 

if u think your car will look good with the stripes than go with it. I think it would look sic as hell!!

either way, anything that sticks to your car will get you flamed on here. I think it has the possibility to look good, if done right. My advice would be to take pics of your car and photoshop the decals and **** to see how it looks. but remember, don't ****** worry what other people think. they don't drive it, you do. Your the one that has to walk out of your house every morning and look at it, but that's how i see it, and afterall, what do i know? I'm just an engineering student. either way...good luck

I think 8" would be too wide for the cobalt. I would probably go smaller, perhaps 6" or maybe 4".

Do what you want though, it's your ride.

 

I think rally stripes would look good. Decals are also a really cheap alternative to a custom paint job these days. Cheap and if you don't like 'em, it's easy to remove AND you didn't drop thousands on a custom job.

 

That wouldn't be rice! Rally stripes hail back to Z-28's from the 60's - about as far from rice as you can get!

 

yeah, if they dont look good its only about 50 bucks so its no big deal

 

get lambo doors thats what im ordering it might look stock untill u get out i think the ss with lambo doors would be a jar dropper.

 

Do what you want, it is your car. These items will make your car unique looking from the rest of the other Cobalts out there. I have been toying with the ideal of placing ECOTEC decals on the side of my Cobalt. (Yes...the ones on ebay) I don't think placing tasteful stripes and decals on a car makes it "rice".

the stripes are allright although i would get a diff style prob
and your car IS stock, so hold off on the stickers junior

 

ive never had anything against decals..iono bout those 2 big ass stripes but the decals look decent

 

I say spend the money on performance parts, not stickers.
