depo projector headlights

I was wondering if anyone has the depo projector headlightsDEPO Projector Headlights 05-10 Cobalt - Lights & Bulbs and if so what are your thoughts on these.

I was looking for an easy plug and play headlight for the cobalt and came across these. They claim that there is no splicing or anything which is good for me.

I have had them for a few months with no issues. Be warned though some people who purchased them experienced stress cracks on them after awhile. Most people think it is from using the lights that came with them.

I would recommend you purchase the hids for them right away to avoid that.

All of the aftermarket projectors stress crack due to heat. The lenses flat out suck. The best thing to do it to take the lenses off of the stock lights and put them on the projectors.

any chance you could send me a pic of these stress cracks? I really don't know a lot about these lights, or is it the actual lenses that breaks inside?

damn sounds like not a bad deal, i would have a hard time buying cracked lights to replace fully intact lights

so its safe to say aftermarket lights for the cobalt are not durable? Thats too bad they look badass.

I'd buy the used ones if you can. The money you save on your used set of gen4s you can take your stock headlights and build some retrofits with them on your own time. Then you will be big pimpin.

Neither did I. Don't be scared. Just do your homework and follow instructions and you'll be fine. It only seems hard because you haven't tried it yet.

I too want to get a set of these, but I live in Canada where temps can go from -40 to +90 throughout the year so I am really worried about stress cracking and leaking. The guys that do have them how are they in quality, better than the Gen 2's & 3's do alot of them leak and/or crack?

Also I already have a 9006 HID Kit would that work for the low beam in these, if so how would I get the high beams to work with the HID Kit for the low's?

I've got the gen 4's .. Completely plug and play, decent lights it seems .. No stress cracks or anything, but they're new, so they've got time to get shitty ... Oh ..... And they fit LIKE **** compared to the stockers ... But if you can deal with it they're ok.

As stated by others, those are the Gen 4's. I have had both the chrome ones and the black ones. Loved both. I initially had the chrome ones, and then I was backed into by a snow plow and one was crushed. So insurance company wanted to order me new ones when they were doing the repair work and I told them to order the black ones, so that's what I currently have. In all honesty, I liked the chrome ones better. They seriously looked like they were OEM.

I just got em yesterday (with 8k) I love the look, they fit better than my stockers. BUT it snowed last night and one already has condensation...and one of the HID's already died an hour in. FML.
