dipping next weekend
You should just do the hood black on the body lines, looks so much better IMO! and what color is your car to start with? Ive seen red really act different with different color bases, alot of guys spray 2 coats on black on the whole car then do red over it and it comes out better.

why the hell are you plastidipping that paint job!
What ive seen that looks great (inspire by metallicsc/kevin) carbon fiber hood with the sides painted so the body lines still show carbon fiber.

its an old paint job, and its seen way way way better days than what it looks like now. Besides I want something new and not to flashy(pearl, and red stripe) So I'm going for the solid red, and black two tone.
How easy is it for plastidip to get scratched/torn during everyday use? I think it would be neat to plastidip my wheels or my whole car to protect it. Can you also plastidip parts that don't get too hot like mounts or the sub frame?

Tomorrrow is the big day!!! Stand by for pictures!!!!
people dip wheels all the time. Seems like it lasts long, as for mounts and sub frame I'm not quite sure.

Also plastidip can handle heat up to 350 degrees I think. It was somewhere around 350-380.
well we started last night around 6 and finished up the whole process at 4 this morning, and man was it fun.
in honor of the owner i shall only be able to leave yall with a teaset pic until hi res pics will be available.

it still needs another coat of red. 2 gallons of red wasn't enough for the front bumper, fenders, doors, rear quarter panels, and back bumper. Hopefully I can find red in town today!!!!

trunk overspray came off easily, wheels came off pretty easy still need some more cleaning. As for the trim it needs some touching up as well. The roof kind of messed up and needs to be redone. I'm having second thoughts on the red.... don't get me wrong, I like the way it came out but... idk..... maybe I'm just being dumb.... lol
