Do you use tire shine?
Just wondering how many of you guys use some kind of tire shine.
I have noticed after driving in the rain when it becomes dry out again, my tires become a dry looking brownish color if I use tire shine.
I used to use Black Magic but got sick of the brown tires. It's like once you start you always have to use it.
What do you guys think? Any recommendations?

I use black magic and I haven't had the problem. where do you LIVE?
edit, I use the spray can, not the bottle stuff. I've never had good experiences with tire shine from the bottle. The main problem I have with the spray can is that it doesn't last very long, but I think that's inheirent in all tire shines

I use it every wash. I do know what you mean when they get in the rain. Mine get streaky and do turn brown if they are not shined up for a while. I actually use the tire shine they have at the dealer I work with. It comes in a 55 gallon drum. I just fill up a gallon jug and use it till its empty. I just spray it on a hold wax pad and wipe it on. Works excellent. I then go over it with a old towel so it doesn't fly off when I drive. Works good for me.
I live in Connecticut. The tires look great after applying it. They stay nice for a while as long as it doesn't rain.
After driving in the rain when the rain ends and it becomes dry out, my tires would get a brownish color to them like they were super dry.

I use black magic tire foam....I absolutely love the stuff.
You can spray it on dirty tires and it still comes out looking great....it also doesn't get all over my car while I'm driving.
My main thing about it is that it doesn't leave marks all over my driveway, but like the OP said, they do turn a brownish color if you drive in the rain....but nothing a little washing can't take care of
It's the black can in that pic:

Yea it happens to me too. But my area is still kinda under construction in some parts. Just get a good brush and scrub them before you wash your car (or even just before yout put the tire shine on). But i would recomend after every wash. ive seen cars dirty as hell but tires shining for miles, looks weird but oh well. Just scrub them with soap and a brush and they look black just not shine.

That stuff you use is probably the best stuff coming from a dealer.
Everyone uses the spray? I use the gel form tire shine. I have used Black magic and Armor All. The gel works the best. The spray come off after a few hours - a few days. The gel stays on for at least 2 weeks. And it stays looking wet. Its so worth it. I recomment it 200%!!!! Try it.
wash your tires really really really good with some good soap and a good brush before you apply the tire wet stuff. spray a spong with tire wet and do a pass with that and let it sit for a bit. then spray the tire itself with the stuff (block the overspray with the spong to avoid getting the tread so you dont peel out all over the place). pat down any excess with the spong and clean up your rims.
i use some sort of gel also. It kind of smells like grapes and it came with 2 applicators shaped for the tire. It lasts a long time when we dont have rain - about 2-3weeks and also you can drive right after you apply it because I notice the can sprays will fly off your tire and end up on your bumper if you dont let it dry

I use Mequires tire gel. It lasts for a long time (a week or two atleast). I like the gel because you don't have to worry about over spray or anything like that. It goes where you want it.
Here's a pic.
