Does carbon fiber need a clearcoat??

Ok say if I buy the SS wing carbon fiber insert and the rk sport carbon fiber hood will those need to have a clear coat put on them or do they just come with a gel coating???

I dont want to buy this and then put it on my car and then start to see that my hood has faded......

They will already be coated before you buy them

They come with a gelcoat on them.
Which is "ready to roll"

My understanding is that in the future, maybe a few years, that gelcoat will have taken a bit of a beating and maybe faded....so then you can just sand it back and put a new clearcoat and have a nice new hood
