I was wondering if the SS wing gets in the way of driving at all? like when backing up or anything of that sort.

That's what the side mirrors are for, and yes. Sits right at the hieght of drivers behind you and cop light bars.

BIG TIME! It's no exageration when they magazines joke that you can't see the cop cars behind you. I have grown acustomed to using only the side mirrors.

I have a love/hate relationship with that wing. At first I hated it because I wanted more of a sleeper and it blocks the rear view almost completely, but now I have grown to love it because it distinguishes it from lower trim Cobalts and it advertises that "Hey, I may be up for a race". Sometimes I wish that GM had gone all out and put a Supra/STI/Evo style wing, because at least that way I could see out my rear view mirror.

I like it because it can block the lites of the car behind you at knite. The auto diming mirror also helps but the wing blocks compleatly. Just have to keep an eye out of the cop lits though.....

this might sound stupid but after a while I was thinking that if it sat higher it actually would be just right for being able to see out maybe like 3~4 inches

The SS spoiler distinguishes the car big time. I think it makes the car IMO. Due to how it defines body lines. The wing is on the otherhand a pain in the ass. You cant see much behind you. And with the way the back dash (panel behind rear seats) is shaped, the car is about immpossible to back up with the driver haveing any clue on how close they are to anything.

I have a 2.4L SS and the wing on that car annoys the hell out of me sometimes, but it definately helps make the car what it is.

When I bought the car the accessories guy at the dealership was asking me if I wanted to get the SS/SC wing and I was like nope, the one on there will be just fine.

I can't see crap lol. Also, our rears either sit higher than the front or the car is angled down to the front because I can never tell how far to go when i'm parrallel parking.

I kind of like it because it blocks headlights from cars hitting my rear view mirror. But our side mirriors are godly, I've seen mirriors so functional on any other car. I can see all the way around my car with them....

It sucked! That's why I took my SS/SC spoiler off mine. I actually got my car back yesterday from having the trunk holes welded shut and repainted. Cleaned the lines of my silver bad boy right up! I'm definately happy now!

It gets in the way , like has been said though sometimes its a good thing . Couple the auto dimming rearview mirror with the SS spoiler , and I dont complain at all of bright headlights . I hated the spoiler at first , and I took mine off for a month or so . Loved it spoilerless for liek the first couple weeks , then grew to hate it spoilerless so I put it back on . The spoiler is so love hate for me , lol

Soon as I can afford dished rims , the RKsport spoiler is definately going on mine . I dont like that sppoiler with the stock wheels .

When i got my base cobalt i had the choice of the sedan spoiler (yuck) the coupe spoiler (that is what i got) and the SS spoiler (i thought it was too big). I spent alot of time thinking about it but ifinaly settled on the coupe spoiler because
1 It gives more of a sleeper look
2 it does not obstruct vision as much
3 It doesn't confuse people (there is a base cobalt driving around campus with the ss spoiler)
4 It doesn't weigh as much.

Wow, ya'll are saying that the spoiler BLOCKS bright lights at night? Granted, I don't have the SS wing, and I'm a 5'3" girl...but that spoiler cuts lights in half for me...so it seems like I have 4 super bright lights blinding me instead of the 2 that are actually there. I hate it, but I love the car so I'll deal.
