Does The High Rise Spoiler Actually produce Downforce?

It seems to flimsy and cheap to produce any real downforce, but my friend insists that it does? so does it, and if so how much?

at 150 mph the high rise wing puts down an extra 182 lbs of force on the back tires.
This equates to 182lbs of weigh keeping the back in from coming loose at that speed.
Is it a requirment? Thats up to you.

I've heard its more for stability at high speeds than anything else.

I'm wingless and I would NEVER go back.

on this note how about the low pro? Is there any aerodynamic advantage to that?

mostly likely just acts like a spoiler and creats a low pressure area and reduces drag. if it does anything at all.

i remember reading somewhere that if you took the high rise off, your mpg went up a little and your top speed would be just a little higher.....

I would assume so.... since you have less drag

It will still produce downforce, but the downforce will be on the rear tires, which
usually don't lack for traction at highway speeds.

Like someone said above, aside from the aesthetic properties, it's more for
high speed stability, at least on our cars.
