Door Ding Need help please!

Well I got my first door ding today. I actually did it myself with my golf bag

It's on the flat part of the PS rear quarter panel... i don't see any paint damage, just a nice little ding. Has anyone ever had a ding fixed? What were the details? Thanks guys.

Go into your trunk pull the carpet out where the dent is and try to push it out with your thumb. It works wonders believe it or not!

lots of places do " paintless dent repair " check your phone book or call local body shops.
maybe $50 per dent or so
they worked miracles on the two dents I had from when some punks shot my car with a paintball gun. no evidence at all of the dents after they fixed em.

thats good to hear...do you have any idea how they did it? cuz i'm afraid that it's gonna come back and it still be partially visible. Cuz I will paint the whole panel if no one can get it back to perfect shape

they will pull your interior apart and try to tap it out. I do body and frame work believe me it won't be right..... you will also spend a couple hundred.

if you were closer id do it for you.....if you want pull your panels out and see if you can get behind the dent/ding. You dont want to hit it hard cause you could warp the sheet metal if you pop it out to far. But if you can get to it with your hand you could push it out a little bit.

for one of mine ( was near rear seat area, ahead of rear wheel) they had to remove interior panels to gain access to the area.
they have bunch of special tools and stuff for actually pressing and working the metal back into shape.
other one was right under the driver side window on the door and that one they would have reached their tools in through beside the window glass etc.

Not sure why you call it " BS " SSinPhilly ... for the job they did on mine it was perfection and a reasonable price.
it was fast, flawless results (and I mean 100% flawless the dent spots look 100% brand new), and easily worth the $100 (total = $50 per dent) to get both dents fixed.

You say "they will pull your interior apart and try to tap it out. I do body and frame work believe me it won't be right..... you will also spend a couple hundred", yet you describe to do the exact same thing to fix it ... so .. you will do it right where everyone else on the planet wont ? sounds like it is 'simple' to do by your description so professional 'paintless dent repair' would logically do it just as well.

You can see pics of the dents in this old thread:

and you are suggesting to just tap it back into shape.. so thus by your own statements your own mentioned method will not repair it either huh.
you said " Go into your trunk pull the carpet out where the dent is and try to push it out with your thumb. It works wonders believe it or not! "
and now you say that the dent can not be repaired because it warps the sheet metal, yet you suggested to fix it by just pushing it back out...

you are contradicting yourself man.

and if you want to come inspect my car you WILL see it is 100% flawless perfection.

My son put a good size dent in my door (size of a dime about 1/8 inch deep), I looked in the yellow pages and came across "the dent guy" paintless dent repair add. You can't tell the dent was ever there, $25.00 because I took off the door panel.
