door pannel insert_ NIGHTMARE!!! HELP????

door pannel insert_ NIGHTMARE!!! HELP????

ok so i painted my pannels and re did the inserts now that im putting the inserts back in the door pannel its gone to hell?? iv tryed plastic weld hot glue fiberbondo, nothing will hold these 2 back together??? i knew anything with breakin the original plastic rivits was a bad idea. hiow the hell did it work for anyone else??? i need help asap!!!!!!!!

Yep it sucks, took me all day to do those, biggest nightmare and biggest project i ever regret doing, glue glue glue

when i did mine, i used fiberglass matting on the inside of the panels. I sanded the back of the insert and the inside of the door panel and set in on some saw horses. I took a 15 lb dumbell and set it in the center to make it flat and smeared resin around the edges then laid the matting, then smeared more resin on. It sat for about 48 hrs then I reinstalled them. They seemed to be holding very well, I even purposely hit them a few times, but I don't know how long they woud last, bc I totalled it less than a week after I finished it.......

idk this just seams like it was almost useless and i would been better off going to buy black doorpannels from gm or off someone or something??

i used tiny screws. they dont come through the other side. then after screwin those in i put super glue on top of the screw
