Door Strip Moldings

How many of you removed your door strip moldings?
If you didn't, why not?
If you did, why?

I removed mine because I think the moldings tend to make the car look cheap (yeah, it is not a luxury car I know), and they tend to break up the smooth lines of the sides of the car. The car just looks so clean without them that I cannot understand why anyone would want them other than to prevent possible dings.

I believe that manufacturers put crap like that on cheaper cars to make them look cheap. This is done in hopes that a customer will want an upscale model because they don't like the look of the moldings.

i took mine off because i feel they take away from the car...

what size rims are those?? next mod= springs!! haha... these cars are WAY too high stock...

They are same size as stok. 16" It is the tire profile that makes them look so small.

They are only for autocross.

yea i took mine off when i shaved the badges off... it does break up the lines.. but it is used as a bumper for doors.. so it dosn't scratch your car when someone opens there door too wide

Seeing as you work for GM you should know why their on there.

The point of Body Side Moldings is to prevent door dings and stupid crap like that.

i never had them as well. It was an option for mine that cost like an extra $100 and i said screw that it looks like hell so why would i spend the extra money

ive noticed that some newer ls and lt models at the dealerships dont even come with them on anymore. i think it looks a million times better without, but then agian i have an ss.
