Dorm Room Retros!

Starting my budget retros project and so far its turning out really good! Just waiting on parts to come in now, but everything is painted and waiting! On to the pics...

heres how i got the lights

took them furthur apart and painted housings black

tried seeing if chrome paint would do the reflectors any justice, turns out not

sanded off the chrome and painted them black instead (along with the orange reflectors)

started with assembly

and this is where im at now! still gotta order the projectors with halos; i will be doing that very soon. Going to be putting 6000k HIDs in along with the halos (white halos im thinking). as for turn signal bulbs im still up in the air as to what i want to get. Ill probably get chrome bulbs that flash orange seeing as the switchbacks cost more than I paid for the headlights

Ill keep you posted! feel free to discuss!

Two random thoughts.

If you do go with the chrome corner bulbs, have you considered smoking the chrome? Not black, just like a medium gray. The bulb is chrome so it'll blend in with whatever is in there.

And... has anyone else noticed that most college dorms are stocked like a convenience store? Couple cases of soda, a loaf of bread, some donuts, and a case of the cheapest oil you can buy?

*goes back to his not-so-ramen noodles*

You think that stock's bad, you should see the case of Monster in my closet.

And the abundant supply of Easy-Mac.

By the way headlights are coming along nicely dude.

If you feel like springing the cash for resistors then LED bulbs would work just fine.

already ordered mine, they are exactly the same as the buyhids.com group buy that just ended. just from ebay instead; i got the referral from a kid at school here who has them in his stratus show car.

that car is amazing by the way. sitting at 320whp nw n is getting a tune and a few more parts to hopefully be over 400whp by the winter. its awfully nice having a dyno at school lol

I went out to Bed Bath and Beyond and bought a memory foam mattress topper. I sleep like a baby on that sandbag that they call a mattress.

Also kind of sick of the ice cold linoleum floors, And for some reason, they shut the AC off so despite the fact that ours is set to "Coldest" on full blast, I'm sweating myself silly in here.
