Gauge pods are actually two PVC pipes. We modified and honed the inside of them for proper fitment.

Any chance you can make one with just one pod? I'd like to throw an interceptor in one and cant imagine what would go in the other hole (thats what she said)

lol...It was all in love. Personally, I would have started my own thread if I was planning on selling something that another member created. I wouldn't have changed the thread of discussion going on. I simply said. "What do you guys think?" To show my apologies:

Great work , you guys have some good fabbing skills and good attention to detail in matching the dull finish of the factory bezel . It looks OEM and 1000% better than 3 pods going up the a-pillar .

i actually did make a post about 2 months ago or more in the vendor forum about the cluster, you must have missed it. i just got pics of my own up which has been installed in my car for months now...they were hard to see in my original interior pics. as a supporting vendor i saw people asking where they could get them and thats why i posted. since we already have the protype sent to the plastic formers, (which we sent over a month ago) i wanted to let people know when we would have them available.

well things dont always work out as planned. lol
Research and development takes time and unfortunately kenny got very sick and had to take some time off to recover...that on top of running the sites and trying to finish my car pretty much killed him. thats why my car has also been at a standstill for about 2 months.

we did however get more performance items and started tuning cars , came out with a bunch of new things and the cluster was one of the hand made items which we had to make a prototype for and send out to a forming company to make. then comes contract negotiating and pricing for a bulk buy order. So a lot goes into it.

If this guy makes them thats also cool and power to him...its all hands on work....i dont want to highjack this thread much more then it already has been so PM me if you would like to ask me anything about the cluster pod.

yes the mold went to the plastic formers a month ago....anyone else have about 10 grand to shell out to have these made??? problem with most custom pieces , you have to do a large order or they wont bother...that or they will charge you a hell of a lot more for less pieces. i just wish people would understand that youcant just snap your fingers and things magically appear for this car. its a new car, nearly everything is still in the research and development stages.

and why the rolly eyes....idont know why it matters who made what first. this isnt a race.

i see that you were planning on making 2 options. with and without airbag. it says nothing about stearing column pods. it matters to me none the less, i still want one. i refuse to have that big ass ugly screw on my pillar

Im in that industry and my company has paid $10K to lowest bidding tool shop on much smaller molds than that large bezel would require . Injection Mold are VERY costly . We have molds that have cost us in excess of $70k . Put that kinda cash outlay in front of the Cobalt in its infancies of the aftermarket and your kinda trapped unless your rich and can afford to lose your ass . At a modest 29.95 , youd have to sell 333 of them just to get recoupe the cash for the mold itself . I know for one , our shop would not even bother quote that job for anything less than 5K molded bezels . Theres where your money problems come in for a small time shop trying to produce a part like that .
